How to choose clay?

Cation-Exchange Capacity (CEC) is the degree to which a clay can attract/remove toxins and absorb oils from your skin. Higher the number more absorbent the clay is. While the lower CEC indicates mild and non-drying properties.

 

Ivory Kaolin Clay   5-10 meq/g       

French Green Clay   30-40 meq/g  

Ghassoul Lava Clay  70-100 meq/g
